'Entitled woman stole my plane seat – so the flight attendant taught her a lesson'

A woman has shared how she got the last laugh on an entitled plane passenger who stole her seat onboard a busy flight.

She shared how she was returning home from two weeks away as part of the Navy Reserves – and was hoping to relax on her flight after the hectic experience.

However, when she arrived at her allocated seat, she noticed another woman sitting in it – but after asking her politely to move, she realised she was going to make things difficult.

Taking to Reddit, she said: “I had my DOD return flight from my two week active duty from New Orleans to San Antonio. If you know anything about the military they book your flights to and from active duty sites always in coach (unless you’re an officer and I was not.)

“I checked in at the flight desk then again at the terminal to ensure I had my reserved seat on the flight home.

“They finally call my boarding section and I drag myself and my backpack onto the plane. I find my seat and there’s a Karen sitting in it. WOW. Ok, I inform her she’s in a seat assigned to me and she insists she’s not.”

With that, the flight attendant asked her to wait at the front of the plane, saying she’ll ‘sort her out’ once everyone has taken their seats.

She added: “Flight attendant is called and she looks at my boarding pass and this lady’s flight ticket (no boarding pass.)

“FA tells me to step to the front of the plane and she’ll sort it out after everyone has boarded. I was annoyed by compliant. I was afraid that I’d be bumped for a later flight (not good.)

“Everyone gets boarded and there’s no seats in coach. Absolutely none. but there is a vacant seat in First Class. And so that’s where the flight attendant sits me.

“In First Class next to a very nice professional golfer. I get free alcohol, a great meal and good conversation because the entitled passenger didn’t go through the official check in and get a boarding pass.

“The flight attendant even called me by my last name! ‘Ms T, may I get you another drink? Ms T would you like a pillow? Ms T how is your meal?’ It was awesome!”

Commenting on her post, one user said: “Flight attendants don’t enjoy conflict either. They are there to keep everyone safe and take too much abuse. I think situations like yours is their revenge!”

Another user added: “Thank you for your service my sister in Arms.”

A third user said: “That’s awesome! Remember that it pays to be nice to the gate agents and flight attendants!”

One more user added: “I would have gone to Karen and personally thanked her for stealing my seat because the first class seat you were assigned to was awesome.”
