England face the Czech Republic in the first of their Euro 2020 qualifiers this weekend.
Gareth Southgate‘s side, fresh from a wonderful World Cup last summer and subsequent Nations League campaign, are ready to get back down to the nitty gritty of qualification with the Czechs coming to Wembley Stadium on Friday before the trip to Montenegro three days later.
Southgate’s squad has been beset with injury problems with Luke Shaw following Fabian Delph, Ruben Loftus-Cheek and John Stones in withdrawing from the initial selection.
Southampton’s James Ward-Prowse has called in as a reward for his fine form since the turn of the year while there’s a first call for Chelsea’s Callum Hudson-Odoi after some eye-catching cameos in recent weeks.
