Domino’s has just launched what might be the most bizarre Easter egg the world has ever seen, inspired by its famous Garlic & Herb Dip.

The pizza chain has combined a classic white chocolate Easter egg with the distinct flavour of its signature sauce—the limited-edition flavour launched yesterday [April 4].

Described by the brand as a ‘weird yet wonderful blend’ of the sweet and savoury sauce, the chocolate egg even comes with a 25g pot of Garlic & Herb Dip for those brave enough to dunk it.

According to Domino’s, the result is a ‘next flavour combination that die-hard Garlic & Herb fans will go crazy for’. The team even claimed they took inspiration from the ‘world’s best chocolatiers’ to develop the unique flavour.

The Garlic & Herb Dip is a fan-favourite condiment. In 2023, Domino’s claimed Brits consumed enough to fill 17 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

Despite plenty of online speculation that the Easter egg was an April Fool’s joke, Domino’s has confirmed it’s very much a real thing.

However, it’s not available to buy in stores. Fans can head to dominoseasteregg.com and fill in their details to be in with a chance of winning one.

‘Easter is the perfect time to treat yourself, and we wanted to bring a fun, flavour-packed twist to the traditional chocolate egg,’ said Izzy Gardener from Domino’s.

‘This Easter Egg is for the Garlic & Herb Dip fans who want to mix things up this year.’

Domino’s UK broke the news with a teaser video on Instagram, mimicking high-end luxury food adverts.

The short clip shows the in-depth creative process with a chef melting white chocolate and sprinkling in dried parsley while jazz music plays in the background.

The comment section was instantly divided. ‘April Fool is over,’ countless users pointed out.

‘This is a menace to society – and I’m here for it,’ user @faizatje wrote. ‘Get this abomination off my feed,’ @woz8005 added.

‘Please tell me you’re joking,’ @theeyluvvkarla pleaded. Meanwhile, @fraserirl, confessed: ‘I don’t know how I feel about this, but I still want to try it.’

‘This is so wrong. I’ll take four please,’ @joshieparker93 added.

Although many users were still convinced the flavour was a joke, Domino’s insisted it was real, and the reviews are already in.

Food reviewer @bigdaddysbfoods shared his thoughts on TikTok. ‘It’s a white chocolate egg with Garlic & Herb flavour which you can smell right away,’ he told his followers.

‘Now I know a lot of people will be on the fence about this and I was too but I was pleasantly surprised. It blends the creaminess of white chocolate with the savoury essence of Domino’s beloved Garlic & Herb dip.

‘For some reason, it just works. And if you really want to turn it up a notch, then dip it in the Garlic & Herb Dip, which is so wrong but tastes so right.’

Not everyone was convinced. Some even branded the flavour ‘criminal’, and others claimed it’s given them ‘nightmares’.

‘You should see the disgust on my face watching this,’ wrote @aishahn_x.
The Easter egg is the latest novelty stunt from the brand, which previously introduced the Pothole Pro Max – a delivery bike with a built-in oven to cope with the UK’s worst potholes.

It also released an off-menu perfume, Eau de Passion, for Valentine’s Day this year, inspired by its most popular pizza, Pepperoni Passion.
