Raducanu, 18, became the first British woman in 44 years to win a grand slam in a pulsating final in New York against another teenager, Leylah Fernandez.
Among the other significant milestones achieved by the Canada-born youngster, who is based in London, was becoming the first qualifier in the Open era to win a grand slam.

Nearly four years on and Raducanu, now 22, is striving to reach such giddy heights again.
Since the Australian Open in January, though, she has endured the toughest period of her career involving an unprecedented four straight losses.
She ended this dismal run with an impressive, straight-sets victory over Greece’s Maria Sakkari at the Dubai Duty Free Championships on Sunday.
However, Raducanu has much to look forward to in 2025, especially her forthcoming appearance in a historic women’s tournament at Queen’s Club in London in June.
It will be the first women’s competition at Queen’s Club since 1973 when Olga Morozova won the singles title.

As for her romantic history, she was previously in a relationship with Carlo Agostinelli, the son of billionaire financier Robert Agostinelli. The pair reportedly began dating in May 2023 and were seen together at several high-profile events, including Paris Fashion Week and the Dior 2024 Cruise show in Mexico.

Raducanu has also been linked to fellow tennis players, the two-time defending Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz and the British No.1 Jack Draper. However, despite speculation, she and Draper are believed to be close friends rather than romantically involved.
In a recent interview with The Times, Raducanu reflected on her personal life and upbringing, hinting that tennis has always been her top priority. She revealed that her strict upbringing left little room for teenage romance.
“My parents were very much against [boyfriends] as it interfered with training,” she said. “When I was younger, I wasn’t even allowed to hang out with my girlfriends. A lot of the time, I was very resentful. But it made me very confident and comfortable in my own company, which is also a big strength.”
Magar had visited Raducanu’s house three times, loitered outside, left unwanted cards and gifts, and even stole items from her porch, according to evidence given at Bromley Magistrates’ Court. District Judge Sushil Kumar issued the restraining order, prohibiting Magar from contacting Raducanu or her parents.
In a separate incident, Raducanu appeared visibly distressed during a match at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships on Tuesday after a man exhibiting “fixated behaviour” approached her.
In a statement, the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) addressed the situation:
“On Monday, February 17, Emma Raducanu was approached in a public area by a man who exhibited fixated behaviour.
“This same individual was identified in the first few rows during Emma’s match on Tuesday at the Dubai Duty Free Tennis Championships and subsequently ejected.
“He will be banned from all WTA events pending a threat assessment. Player safety is our top priority, and tournaments are advised on security best practices for international sporting events.”
