Coronation Street’s Rebecca Ryan has just welcomed her second bundle of joy into the world.

The actress, famed for playing Lydia Chambers on the iconic soap, is now a proud mum to another baby girl with hubby Dan Acraman, following their first daughter Aurora’s arrival two years ago.

Over on Instagram, Rebecca spilled the beans about their latest addition, announcing: “Introducing the newest member of my little girl gang, the adorable Oriana.”

Chosen for its shimmering connotations, the name Oriana shares its radiant roots of Latin descent with Aurora, harking back to the words aurum for “gold” and oriens which translates to “dawn” and “sunrise”.

Her sibling Jack, recognised for his portrayal of Jacob Hay on Corrie, couldn’t resist gushing over his nieces as he declared: “Proof that the first time wasn’t a fluke, you make the most beautiful babies.”, reports the Mirror.

Fellow Weatherfield residents poured in with messages of adulation, Sally Carman sending her congrats and Elle Mulvaney chiming in to call the newcomer “She’s beautiful! Congratulations to you both!”

Rebecca, 34, boasting credits in Waterloo Road, Casualty and Shameless too, earlier teased her fans with snaps of her growing bump, cheekily captioning: “Sleeps overrated anyway, here comes baby No.2” followed by a token red heart emoji.

Rebecca and her hubby have been flooding social media with snaps of their darling firstborn since she graced the world in 2023. Just last April, Rebecca inundated Instagram with cute shots of her little one marking her first year milestone.

Posting on Instagram, she penned: “My darling girl Aurora, where has this year gone? The immeasurable joy and love you have brought into my life is something I will be forever thankful for. Your cheeky smile lights up every room, and I just love watching you grow and change every single day. You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Happy 1st birthday my girl.”

She’s expecting baby number two, set to join her expanding clan which includes a famous brother from the soaps. Fans were gobsmacked when they twigged that Rebecca and Jack were related after she hopped onto the ITV soap nearly a year after he debuted as Jacob.

The soap’s honchos were equally taken aback upon discovering the pair were siblings post-casting. Speaking to The Mirror, Rebecca revealed: “Nobody at ‘Coronation Street‘ had any idea. When I joined, I’d be talking to people and say, ‘Oh, yeah, my brother works here’. And they’d go, ‘Really, who’s your brother? What? Jack!’ It’s a dream come true to be working on the show at the same time, but it’s a total coincidence.”
