Coleen Rooney is reportedly set to brave the jungle on I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! after gaining “total trust” in her husband Wayne, insiders reveal. The 38 year old TV star is said to have confided in friends that she feels confident enough in her scandal-prone husband’s behaviour now more than ever.
Her newfound trust has been attributed to Wayne’s commitment since becoming head coach of Plymouth Argyle this summer. Married to Wayne since 2008, Coleen is ready to join the ITV show next month for a hefty sum.
An insider shared: “He’s grown up. He’s definitely changed and Coleen totally trusts him. This is one of the reasons she’s agreed to do the jungle.”
“She knows she can go off and pursue her own work projects safe in the knowledge Wayne isn’t going to blow up and do something daft again.
One of the most common factors in the incidents in the past has been that Wayne always seemed to go off the rails when Coleen was away, or when he was overseas and left to his own devices.”, reports the Mirror.
According to The Sun, Coleen, mother to their four children, no longer harbours the “fears and apprehensions” about Wayne that she used to.
Show producers are eager to see Coleen in the hit series, anticipating she might divulge details about her challenging marriage with the ex-Manchester United star and her public dispute with Rebekah Vardy.
Wayne, 38, spends the majority of his week away from Coleen and their four sons; Kai, 14, Klay, 11, Kit, eight, and six year old Cass due to his job being based in Devon.
The long-distance relationship has been challenging but, according to close friends, it has highlighted to Coleen how much trust has grown between them.
Wayne had a disappointing stint last season as Birmingham City boss, and was let go in January. However, he made a comeback when he was appointed as head coach by Plymouth, and has already secured three league game victories this season, all at home.
His relationship with Coleen has seen its fair share of highs and lows over the years. The TV star nearly ended things after Wayne went off the rails when she flew to Majorca in 2017.
The former Everton striker faced charges of drink-driving after ending up behind the wheel of another woman’s car.
