Singer-songwriter, Chelcee Grimes has revealed her seemingly hostile feelings towards Christine McGuinness.
Chelcee, 32 and The Real Housewives of Cheshire star, 36, were spotted kissing multiple times over the past two years after Christine separated from her husband of 11 years, Paddy McGuinness, in July 2022.
While the two women never confirmed rumours they were dating, any possible romance seems to have ended.
In a post captioned ‘private but not a secret’, Chelcee debuted her new relationship with an unknown woman and appeared to allude to an estrangement between her and Christine after liking a comment in which a person called the TV star ‘a fake’.
The comment, which read: ‘Christine is fake as they come, Chelcee deserved so much better. Christine can keep trying to get attention and fake a new romance’, was made under Chelcee’s post where she showed off her new partner.
It remains unclear what happened between the two women, however, Chelcee seemed to share some inside information when she replied to a fan’s comment.
‘Oh I adored you with Christine,’ @Samanthawoods4044 wrote. Adding, ‘Please say its her in a wife she has one of them bracelets in her vid too.’
The seemingly innocent comment, earned a stern response from Chelcee, who, according to The Mirror, wrote back in a now-deleted comment, ’No. I had enough of being a secret after nearly 2 years.’
In addition, the two women no longer follow each other on Instagram.
Metro.co.uk has approached Chelcee and Christine’s representatives for comment.
It comes just days after Christine, who shares twins Penelope and Leo, 11 and Felicity, seven, with Paddy, appeared to use her Instagram Story to debut her own new romance.
Sharing an image of her eye-catching red Adidas shoes, she appeared to be playing footsies with an unknown person who had matching shoes and tattoos on their legs.
Another image showed her and her companion raising their wine glasses for a toast at sunset.
MailOnline has reported that Christine may be on a romantic getaway with rapper Roxxxan, 33. The two are reportedly staying at the same hotel in Ibiza and follow each other on Instagram.
Christine and Paddy announced their separation in 2022 shortly after their documentary, Our Family and Autism aired.
‘We hadn’t planned on sharing this publicly until we were ready but the lack of privacy surrounding our personal life, we feel left with no other option but to clarify,’ they said in a joint statement.
‘A while ago we took the difficult decision to separate but our main focus was as always is to continue loving and supporting our children. This was not an easy decision to make but we’re moving forward as the best parents we can be for our three beautiful children. We’ll always be a loving family, we still have a great relationship and still live happily in our family home together.’
‘We hope this now draws a line under anymore unwanted and unnecessary intrusion into our private life. Although we work in the public eye we ask kindly if you could respect our wishes for privacy on this matter. We’ll be making no further comment.’
Despite separating, Paddy recently revealed to The Mirror that the former couple still live together as part of their co-parenting arrangement.
