KATHERINE Kelly’s raunchy sex scene saw 500,000 disgusted viewers turn off from the first episode of ITV drama Cheat.
The actress, 39, who plays lecturer Leah Dale, was seen pleasuring herself in a school toilet after fantasising about having passionate sex with her boss.
But the intimate moment proved too graphic for families watching the four-part series at home.
Audiences were particularly stunned by Leah’s X-rated alone time taking place just five minutes after the start of the programme.
Viewer Kelly Wood said: “Sitting next to my 12-year-old. Christ, where do I look?” while Vicki Clark tweeted: “Thought this would be some good dramatic viewing for me and my mum and five minutes in someone’s w***ing in the loos, ideal #Cheat.”
And Katie Lambie tweeted: “I could be 60-years-old and will still be embarrassed watching sex scenes on the TV with my parents in the room.”
And the racy scenes didn’t stop there after Tuesday’s episode saw Leah’s partner Adam send an explicit photo of his genitals to 21-year-old student Rose Vaughn.
In tonight’s penultimate episode viewers are expected to discover the reason why Rose has plotted revenge on lecturer Leah – and whether she is successful in luring her husband into bed – see the questions we need answering from episode 3 here.
Rose, played by Molly Windsor, was accused of cheating on one of her essays by Leah and is now attempting to ruin her life any way she can.
But the youngster has a hidden agenda after she was seen looking at a photo of Leah and her dad that she kept locked in a safe.
The series concludes on Thursday as all the loose ends are tied and audiences finally learn who killed Adam, played by Tom Goodman-Hill.
Adam’s dead body has been shown from the start as detectives questioned who was to blame for his brutal murder.
