Fortnite Battle Royale players will be tasked with finding two pieces of buried treasure dotted around the game’s map.
Completing the Fortnite week 4 challenge will reward players with five Battle Stars.
The Fortnite buried treasure item was added by Epic Games to the hugely popular battle royale title for season 8.

First things first – the recently added Fortnite item will lead players to Legendary loot and needs to be equipped to be used.
Like other Fortnite items it will take up an item slot – once equipped a gold marker will show up on the Battle Royale map and in the game’s world.
You’ll need to head towards that mark where you’ll find a black X that marks the spot of the Fortnite buried treasure location.
Use your pickaxe to dig right in the centre of the X a few times to reveal a treasure chest full of Legendary loot.
If you come across a Fortnite buried treasure item when your inventory is full then don’t worry – there is a work around.
The Fortnite buried treasure item technically isn’t required to get the chest.
So you could pick up a treasure map to place an in-game marker on the Fortnite map to show where the X is.
You could then drop the buried treasure map to free up an item slot then head to the marker.
