After the return of Blur and Oasis in recent years, fellow Britpop chart-toppers Pulp are also back for more.

The Common People hitmakers, fronted by Jarvis Cocker, are heading out on a UK tour this summer but believe fans ‘deserve more’ than the arena gigs.

It seems the band might be taking a leaf out of Blur’s books and releasing new music for the first time since 2001.

In the announcement, the 61-year-old teased: ‘You deserve more – & we have more. In fact, we have More – (but that’s a whole other story… you’ll have to wait a little more time to hear that one)

‘In the meantime: see you this Summer!’

Pulp will play six arena shows in June, starting in Glasgow and visiting Dublin, London, and Birmingham before closing in Manchester.

The Babies singers last toured in 2023 with a 10-date run that included some festivals like TRNSMT and Latitude.

Fans were shocked at the announcement, considering Pulp had not played together in over a decade at that point.

Tickets for that tour sold out in minutes and that was before ticket buying became an Olympic sport — this new tour goes on sale at 9.30am Friday, February 21.

If you’re a lucky ticketholder for Sheffield’s Tramlines festival, Pulp have already been announced as the Friday headliner.

For the last tour, bassist Steve Mackey wished his bandmates the best but said he had ‘decided to continue the work I’m engaged in – music, filmmaking and photography projects.’

It’s unknown currently if Steve will be joining them this time around but fans were beside themselves with excitement.

‘Are you even kidding me?!!!’ commented Lauramoughton on Pulp’s official Instagram page.

‘Thank you for this thoughtful valentines gift x,’ joked wavexrly.

‘Yes we do deserve more!’ said Sarahjclark13 as Steph_w_15 simply wrote: ‘AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.’

Fans were quick to clock the tour wraps up before a very special weekend at Worthy Farm, with speculation that the band could be on the Glastonbury lineup.

Glastonbury will take place in Somerset from Wednesday, June 25 to Sunday, June 29 with first batch tickets already sold out.

So far the only confirmed Glastonbury 2025 performers are Sir Rod Stewart and Neil Young, taking the Legend and headliner slots respectively.

A formal Glastonbury lineup announcement is expected in the next few months, although the organisers have no fixed date for revealing acts.

As for the rest of the lineupspeculation is rife with names like Olivia RodrigoEminemKings of LeonHarry Styles, Green Day, and even Rihanna in the running.

Pulp last played Glastonbury in 2011 on the Park Stage but headlined the prestigious Pyramid Stage in 1995, replacing the Stone Roses at the last minute.
