Brexit vote result: See how YOUR MP voted on Theresa May's deal

Theresa May lost the vote by a margin of 149 votes – 242 for the deal, and 391 against. This is a slightly smaller margin than the previous vote on the deal – lost by 230 votes, but it is still a major blow to the Prime Minister. There is no doubt now that this Brexit deal will not get through the House of Commons in its current form.

Mrs May said she “profoundly regrets the decision this House has taken tonight”.

Up next, the Prime Minister has confirmed she will offer MPs a vote on whether they want to go for a no deal Brexit, which will take place on Wednesday.

She said: “I continue to believe that by far the best outcome is the UK leaves the European Union in an orderly fashion with a deal. And that the deal we have negotiated is the best and indeed only deal available.”

If MPs vote to leave without a deal, the UK will leave the EU on March 29 without a deal – if it rejects this option, there will likely be another vote on whether to request an extension from the EU.
