LESLEY Joseph let rip at the BBC after they included footage of her breaking wind during a religious documentary.

The mortified actress, 73, parped in front of co-stars in the first episode of Pilgrimage: The Road to Rome.

She had no idea her guff gaffe made the final cut until a preview screening in London on Tuesday.

A source said: “Lesley can’t believe bosses included that scene.

“She thought they’d be a bit more gracious, seeing as the show was meant to be about spirituality.

“She’s joked she’ll never work again.”

Birds of a Feather star Lesley can be seen looking horrified then wafting the air while sharing a room with comic Katy Brand, blogger Mehreen Baig, and Irish Eurovision winner Dana.

Also winding their way to Italy are actor Les Dennis, ex-Strictly star Brendan Cole, comedian Stephen K Amos, and Olympic long jump hero Greg Rutherford.
