American rates popular British takeaways and dubs one 'a disgrace'

An American expat living in London has sparked controversy with his rankings of British takeaways, leaving many people divided.

Social media influencer kjordyyy, known for his humorous TikTok videos about life in the UK, has shared his candid opinions on the best and worst takeaways in the country. Despite potential backlash, he stands by his ratings, which he claims are the result of years of careful consideration.

In a surprising twist, he praises McDonald’s in the UK, ranking it fifth and stating that it tastes “much better” than its American counterpart. On the other hand, he slams Chinese takeaways, placing them in 10th position, and calling them a “disgrace” compared to their US equivalents.

Papa John’s fares slightly better, coming in at sixth place, with the influencer describing their meals as “banging”. Burger King, however, is a clear favourite, securing second place in his rankings.

The classic fish and chip supper receives a mediocre seventh place, with the influencer noting that quality can vary greatly depending on the location. This left a few people perplexed.

Pizza Hut is relegated to ninth place, while Domino’s is awarded a respectable second place, with the American expat declaring that the UK version far surpasses its “trash” American counterpart. In a move that may be seen as sacrilegious by some Brits, he confesses to “hating” Greggs, which lands in eighth place.

Five Guys, on the other hand, earns a respectable fifth place in his rankings. The Indian takeaway bagged the top spot for him, as he simply can’t get enough of our curry houses. It seems that us Brits have a knack for spices.
