Rarely seen 90s popstar goes unrecognised as he shops in London – can you guess who he is?

A RARELY-SEEN 90s heartthrob left pop fans doing a double take after he was spotted shopping in London wrapped up in chunky winter knits.

The boyband icon, who has quit fame for a quiet life, looked determined to stay snug as he picked up groceries at Planet Organic in Hampstead.

Take That singer Jason Orange, 54, was almost unrecognisable in an oversized brown cardigan worn with a grey hoodie underneath.

He pulled on a pair of black joggers and chunky brown boots for the outing, accessorising with sunglasses and cream mittens.

The Back For Good hitmaker appeared adamant to go incognito, looking straight ahead as he entered the store and hopping into his Mercedes once he rounded off his shop.

Jason rose to fame alongside his bandmates Gary BarlowMark OwenRobbie Williams and Howard Donald when Take That stormed the charts in the 90s.

Robbie left the group in 1995, and the band split the following year.

However, they then reformed as a four piece in 2005, with Jason firmly part of the fixture.

In 2014, he opted to quit the band and shun fame entirely in the hopes of a quieter life.

At the time of his departure, Jason said: “I want to start by saying how proud I am of what we have achieved together over the years.

“I have spent some of the best years of my life with Take That and I’d like to thank everyone who has been a part of my journey, including my band mates, who I feel are like brothers to me.”

Back in 2023, his former bandmate Mark mentioned Jason in an interview with The Times.

He said: “I think Jason felt like he didn’t want to do it any more. But I’m not going to speak for him. He’s still here anyway.

“The other day we were trying to work out who the best joke-teller in the band is and remembered how Jason always laughed before he got to the punchline.”

Robbie reunited with the band for a special lockdown performance back in 2020, however Jason wasn’t part of it.

Speaking about Jason in an interview with Metro, Gary said: “We hear from Jason now and again.

“Then when you reply the email doesn’t work. It’s bigger than we all know. Him cutting himself off from a life he just didn’t want any more.

“If you were 20 you would open the discussion up, but he is a grown man. You have to respect the fact he doesn’t want to do this. It was hard for us to watch him go.”

He added: “He wanted to go off, live his life, and good luck to him if that’s what he wants to do.

“He’s spent a big part of his life being in the band, but he doesn’t want to do it any more, it’s that simple.”

Jason has never spoken on the subject and the band have made it clear that there is no chance of him returning.

Jason recently looked completely different from his boyband days as he stepped out in the English capital with floppy grey locks and yellow-tinted glasses.

He was also seen sporting a trendy DryRobe coat as he enjoyed a winter walk.
