An ad for the Grammys seems to have casually confirmed that Taylor Swift and Beyonce will be at the awards this year, among other big names.
The ceremony for the 68th Grammy Awards is set to take place on February 2 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
Trevor Noah will be returning to host the ceremony for the fifth time in as many years, and he will also serve as a producer for the ceremony.
Now, a new promo airing on television in the US and circulating online, has confirmed that the live ceremony will be attended by the two biggest pop superstars in the world: Taylor Swift and Beyonce.
Benson Boone, Charli XCX, Billie Eilish, Chappell Roan and Sabrina Carpenter are also listed in the promo.
The video also teases ‘a very special guest,’ who many fans are speculating is Lady Gaga.
Some users on X are now wondering if the ad means the two artists will be performing, given that the other artists teased in the ad are confirmed performers.
X user @PatriciaLWatts wrote: ‘Taylor attending makes sense, but will she be performing?’
@Ibareerakhan wrote: ‘Beyoncé and Taylor Swift together, plus a ‘very special guest’! I can’t wait to see who it is! The GRAMMYs are gonna be epic this year!’
Many wondered how any special guest could compete with mega names like Beyonce and Taylor, with @thankUbardi writing: ‘”A very special guest” like the biggest artists in the world aren’t already there😭😭😭’
Beyonce’s appearance comes after she received 11 nominations for her eighth studio album Cowboy Carter, including Album of the Year and Best Country Album. She is now the most nominated artist in Grammys history.
The record comes after she broke the record for most Grammy wins of all time, with 32 trophies to her name, in 2023.
Swift is also nominated at this year’s ceremony, including for Record Of The Year and Song Of The Year for her song with Post Malone. She is also up for Album Of The Year and Best Pop Vocal Album for Tortured Poets Department.
