Wu-Tang Clan's Method Man denies accusations he punched daughter's ex-boyfriend in the face at NY gym

Method Man is denying a report that he has been accused of punching the face of a 28-year-old man who once dated his daughter ‘with a closed fist’ seven times.

The Wu-Tang Clan rapper/actor, 53, was linked to a violent exchange at a Staten Island Crunch Fitness location, police insiders told The New York Post Thursday.

The alleged victim had dated the daughter of the entertainer, whose real name is Clifford Smith, Jr., more than 10 years ago.

Insiders told the newspaper that the alleged victim ‘reported pain to his face and feeling dizzy but refused medical attention at the scene.’

Method Man, who is from The Town of Hempstead, New York, was not taken into custody in connection with the allegations.

‘Mr. Smith categorically denies the allegations as reported,’ a rep told Dailymail.com Thursday, ‘and has not been the subject of an arrest by any law enforcement agency.’

Method Man has been married to wife Tamika Smith since 2001, as they began dating nine years earlier.

They are parents to three children – son Shakuan; and daughter Cheyenne and son Raekwon, who are twins.

He has attributed the longevity of the relationship to both him and Smith endeavoring to keep their personal lives out of the limelight.
